Canal Tisa – Palic has never been used for irrigation
July 8, 2003 (IIS, Politika) - Canal Tisa – Palic near Subotica together with a cumulative reservoir have sufficient water to irrigate up to 10,000 ha, but none of these capacities have ever been used.
On the other hand only this year drought caused €6 million damage in Subotica region.
