Stamenkovic says production drops, salaries grow
19:55 BELGRADE, July 8 (Tanjug) - A disastrous drop of industrial production in the first quarter of this year stopped in April and May, but the present production level is still lower than last year's average, Economics Institute expert Stojan Stamenkovic told a news conference on the occasion of publication of the Monthly Analyses and Forecasts Bulletin.
"After the April recovery of industrial production, growth continued in May and it is clear now that the production drop registered in the last quarter of last year and the first quarter of this year has stopped," Stamenkovic said and added that it was lower by .8 percent in May 2003 in comparison with May 2002.
