Serbian prime minister confers with union leaders
20:25 BELGRADE, July 4, 2003 (Tanjug) - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Zivkovic said on Friday that trade unions in Serbia too quickly resort to strikes instead of resolving all controversial issues through talks with the government and employers.
"Strikes are legitimate as the ultimate means of a trade union struggle, but only after all other means are exhausted," Zivkovic told a press conference held after a meeting of the Social-Economic Council.
