New bank-notes to have National Bank of Serbia sign
16:42 BELGRADE, July 2 (Tanjug) - The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) on Tuesday put into circulation new bank-notes in 100 and 5,000 dinar denominations, as well as coins of one, two, five and 10 dinars, NBS Governor Mladjan Dinkic has said, and confirmed that the new 5,000 dinar bank-note had a better protection against falsification.
Dinkic told a press conference that the NBS had decided that the bank notes be put in circulation today, in the honour of the setting up of the Privileged National Bank of the Kingdom of Serbia, opened on July 2, 1884, when a 100 dinar bank-note was issued for the first time.
