Norway earmarks 1.5 million euros for Great Backa Canal
20:18 VRBAS , July 2 (Tanjug) - The Norwegian government has earmarked 11 million kroner (1.5 million euros) for the construction of a project on the revitalization of the Great Backa Canal and preparations for introducing a modern facility for processing waste water for towns and the industry in the Backa Region, northwestern Serbia, on the locations of Vrbas and Kula, the Vrbas City Hall said on Wednesday.
The project will be prepared by the Norwegian Institute for Water Research NIVA, in cooperation with home experts, and it will last two and a half years.
