Cattle prices still low
July 1 (IIS, Vecernje Novosti) - Slaughter houses in Novi Sad buys live pigs for 45 dinars (€0.7) /kg and bullocks for 70 to 75 dinars (€1.09 to €1.16) /kg with 30 to 35 days payment period. For covering costs pig growers need 65 dinars (€1.01) /kg. A month ago, live bullocks have been sold for 90 dinars (€1.4) /kg. Prices are lower than usual because of undersized demand caused by weak purchasing capabilities of domestic customers and insufficient exports.
