Corridor X brings us closer to EU - Serbian ministry
19:38 BELGRADE , June 27 (Tanjug) - Corridor X is one of the main potentials bringing us closer to joining the European Union and a strategic route for Serbia, the Serbian Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications said in a statement on Friday, reacting to recent media claims
minimizing the importance of this corridor.
"Corridor X is the shortest natural link between western and central Europe on the one hand and the Middle East on the other. In comparison with all other alternative connections, this route is by 230 km shorter and much more profitable for investments in infrastructure because of more
favorable geographic conditions than those at all other routes," the statement said.
