Serbian government invites trade unions to dialogue
19:19 BELGRADE , June 24 (Tanjug) - The Serbian government said in a statement on Tuesday, on the occasion of announcements that the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia would hold protests, that it was taking into consideration all legally envisaged methods of trade union fight and invited to dialogue representatives of trade unions and employers.
The statement said that the social dialogue had been established in Serbia in August 2001, after the setting up of the social and economic council and that trade unions had since had the possibility to "make an influence on the selection of topics discussed at council sessions, but have not used this opportunity for unknown reasons."
