Restructuring of EPS started with social programme - minister
18:48 BELGRADE , June 18 (Tanjug) - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Kori Udovicki on Wednesday dismissed as untrue statements by Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) trade union leaders to the effect that the restructuring of EPS had started without a social programme and said that none of the mines would be closed or any of the miners fired in the process.
Speaking at a news conference, Udovicki said that the EPS trade union had been the first whom the competent ministry had informed about the adoption of a decision to restructure mines, since the ministry planned to hear out the trade union's view in order to adopt a programme for the restructuring of EPS in cooperation with it.
