Serbian Power Ministry will propose raising electricity prices
19:35 BELGRADE , June 18 (Tanjug) - The Serbian Ministry of Mining and Power will suggest higher prices of electricity on July 1, and the decision will be made by the Serbian electric company EPS Board of Managers, to be confirmed by the government, Minister Kori Udovicki said.
Addressing a press conference, the mining and power minister said the recommendation would state that households that pay utility bills on time be stimulated with a 5-percent discount. Electricity prices for the so-called green and blue zones would go up 9.25 percent, she said. These households would also pay overhaul costs, as there is no international assistance for this in 2003, Udovicki said.
