Cooperation of Serbia & Montenegro and Italy
June 16 (IIS, Ekonomist) - According to the director of the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade Enrico Barbieri Italy is the second major Serbian foreign trade partner, just behind Germany.
Total foreign trade exchange in 2002 reached $983 million. Italy imported $330 million and S&M $653 million. S&M imported from Italy equipment for industry, textile and footwear and exported to Italy sugar, footwear and textile. Large part o S&M exports are finishing works in footwear and textile industry.
