Production drop in textile industry
June 12 (IIS, Tanjug) - In 1Q of this year production of yarn and fabrics fell by 22.5% compared to the same period of last year and production of ready-made textile dropped by 28.9%.
Import of textile products in 1Q reached $130 million (35% more than last year); export amounted on $51.5million (22%.more than previous year). Foreign trade deficit reached $78.5 million. Most textile products (72%) were exported to the EU.
