Problem - lack of system to determine export abuse, Pitic
11:56 NOVI SAD, June 11 (Tanjug) - Serbian Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and head of the government sugar commission, Goran Pitic, said in Novi Sad on Tuesday that so far, it had been determined that Interfrigo
company had exported 300 tons of sugar to the European Union (EU), and added that corresponding checking was held as regards the import of 30,000 tons via the Montenegrin port of Bar.
The commission is focused on the final stage of the bilancing of sugar stocks and investigation into the abuse, Pitic said at the Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce, and pointed that the problem was rather the lack of a system which could determine the abuse,
particularly in the customs, than who and from where had imported and exported sugar.
