Conditions that SCG should fulfill for joining 'Partnership for Peace'
NATO conditions suspension of lawsuit and cooperation with the Tribunal
June 5 (Blic) - The conditions that Serbia and Montenegro joins 'Partnership for Peace' are that SCG gives up lawsuit filed against NATO members for bombing Yugoslavia in 1999 and full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. This is message that British Ambassador in Belgrade Charles Crawford and Alliance official George Katsirdakis sent to Belgrade yesterday.
Crawford also said that his country undertook the task to be a contact between SCG and NATO institutions.
NATO officials said that SCG had fulfilled some of the conditions. He, however, mentioned lawsuit against NATO and cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, especially in the case of Ratko Mladic. According to his words activities would be organized within 'Partnership for Peace' soon, in which SCG shall participate as an observer. 'You will have status of an observer but will do the same as the rest', Kartsidakis said.
