Serbian premier welcomes abolishment of visas
18:19 BELGRADE , May 30 (Tanjug) - Serbian Premier Zoran Zivkovic on Friday voiced satisfaction with Thursday's decision of the Serbia-Montenegro Council of Ministers to abolish visas for the citizens of the European Union and other countries whose citizens enter the country for tourist or transport purposes.
The government's press office said in a statement that the Serbian premier had on May 15 launched an initiative for the unilateral abolishment of visas, as the first step in the harmonization of the visa regime with EU countries and an expression of good will of Serbia and Montenegro to facilitate and encourage foreigners to visit our country for tourist, transit and business purposes.
