Losses in transportation of electric power between 18 and 20 percent
May 28 (IIS, Glas Javnosti) - According to last year data losses of electric power in EPS (state owned company for production and distribution of electric power) system reached 18-20% of total production. Theft of electricity reached 5-6% or 1.5 billion KWh, valuated on about €50 million, the same amount was paid for the electricity import during last winter, stated professor of Electro-technical Faculty in Belgrade Nikola Rajakovic.
The EPS’s goal is to reduced losses on 10-12%.
