Foreign investments crucial for revitalization of economy
16:39 BELGRADE , May 26 (Tanjug) - Serbian Privatization Minister Aleksandar Vlahovic said Monday that the ownership transformation of 660 companies over the past 14 months has secured funds for the Serbian budget, promoted cooperative management in those firms and ensured significant foreign investments, which are crucial for the revitalization of the economy.
Speaking at a round table on the topic Development of a Business Atmosphere in Serbia - Open Issues and Concrete Messages, Vlahovic said that the 2003 plan for the privatization of 1,000 companies would be met, thus placing 60 percent of the social capital in private hands by the end of the year.
