Svilanovic encourages Japan to invest
20:40 TOKYO, May 26 (SRNA) - Goran Svilanovic, state union foreign minister, has today urged the Tokyo Government to encourage Japanese companies to play an active part in the privatisation process by investing in Serbia-Montenegro.
During talks with Svilanovic, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi insisted that it was in Japan’s best interests to continue assisting the state union, considering its important role in the Balkan Peninsula.
The two foreign ministers also discussed UN Security Resolution 1244, regarding Kosovo’s status, and Kawaguchi commended Serbia-Montenegro on its decisive efforts in the fight against organised crime.
