Non ferrous ore and stone resources in Arandjelovac community
May 19 (IIS, Politika) - Sumadija region has huge non ferrous ore and resources such as: marble, clay, granite, magnesite, asbestos, coal and others.
Arandjelovac community disposes with 22 million tons splintered marble reserves and with 1 million sqm building stone. Clay’ reserves amounts 78.5 million tons, granite’s 1.5 million tons.
Main mining companies in Arandjelovac are Vencac, Nemetali and Samot Rudnik which employ near 1,000 workers. Main manufacturing firms are Samot, Elektroporcelan, Elka, Karbon, Kubrsnica (all located in Arandjelovac) and Keramika (Mladenovac). These firms employ 5,800 workers.
