Privatization process in Serbia accelerated in 2003 - official
19:11 BELGRADE, May 16 (Tanjug) - The privatization of socially-owned companies in Serbia through auctions and tenders, including the sale of minority packages of the stock fund exceeded in the first four months of 2003 the total sales made in 2002, Director of the Privatization Agency Mirko Cvbetkovic said Friday at a seminar organized by the agency.
In 2003 as against the entire period since the privatization process was initiated, six companies were sold through tenders (total 18), 321 through auctions (total 527) and 38 minority stock packages (total 86), he said.
