Foreign reserves top 2.5 billion dollars
21:12 BELGRADE , May 13 (Beta) - The National Bank of Serbia’s foreign currency reserves have reached 2.5 billion dollars and the dinar has never been stronger against the US collar, National Bank Governor Mladjan Dinkic said today.
“What we have in these thirty months since I took over the National Bank has not happened to this institution for the past 39 years – the dinar has been convertible for three years with a steady rise in foreign currency reserves,” Dinkic told media.
Foreign currency reserves held by the commercial banks brings the total figure to 3.3 billion dollars, added the governor.
