Serbian National Bank governor says Council of Ministers violated Constitutional Charter
17:45 BELGRADE , May 9 (Tanjug) - Serbian National Bank (NBS) Governor Mladjan Dinkic wrote Friday to Serbia-Montenegro (SCG) President Svetozar Marovic noting that the SCG Council of Ministers was not empowered to relieve of office the president and members of the federal commission for securities and financial market or the executive director, president and members of the agency for insurance of deposits and bank rehabilitation and bankruptcy.
Due to these unlawful decisions, the NBS will have to withdraw permits for banks which have requested capitalization from the securities commission and the bank rehabilitation or bankruptcy proceedings undertaken by the agency will be brought into question, Dinkic said.
