Pivovarna Lasko, a Slovenian brewery wants to establish a consortium with Serbian breweries
In former days, before the war and disintegration of the state, Pivovarna Lasko was selling 40% of its products outside of Slovenia. President of Pivovarna Lasko, Antnon Turnsek said that his company wants not only to sell its products on the Serbian market but also to import goods from Serbia, especially barley, malt, corn, bottles, labels and similar products.
Pivovarna Lasko signed a contract with Granexport, situated in Belgrade, for delivery of 2,000 tons of corn products. The Slovenian brewery is interested in malt produced in factories in Backa Palanka and Cacak because of its high quality.
This company wants to establish a consortium with one or two breweries in Serbia for joint sales on all markets of former Yugoslavia. This consortium would associate not only breweries but also natural and mineral water producers, producers of juices, strong and soft drinks. Already mentioned in the consortium are Radenska, Vital, located in Mestinje, the Jadranska Pivovara and the Pivovarna Union and Fructal are expected to join.
