Sugar in Serbia, papers in Cetinje
Serbian authorities had grounds to react before European Union suspended export of our sugar. Truck drivers transporting sugar informed the customs officers, that various people were ordering the drivers orally or via mobile telephones, to stop at certain locations, most often gas stations. Then unknown people would bring them new documentation with new destination for the load.
Instead of being transported somewhere in Montenegro, the sugar was being unloaded somewhere in Serbia without previous customs clearance. For import of 25 tons of sugar in Montenegro the Customs tax was less than 150 Euros. In Serbia it was 5000 Euros for the same quantity.
