State union to calculate Iraqi debt
MILOCER -- Tuesday – Serbia-Montenegro’s Council of Ministers has today assigned the Ministry for Foreign Economic Affairs with establishing the exact figure of debt owed to the state union by Iraq.
The Council continued discussion of Iraq by exploring avenues of Serbia-Montenegrin involvement in the reconstruction of the Persian Gulf state, assessing that a “favourable political climate” has been created, which will provide the opportunity to secure profitable ventures in the post-war country.
As well as deciding to form a specialized working body to coordinate involvement in post-war reconstruction, the Council also agreed to reopen a branch office of the Jugoimport SDPR company in Baghdad.
