Trouble for sugar beet and sugar producers?
This year sugar beets were sown on 95,000 hectares in Vojvodina, 80% more than last year. That enables production of 400,000 tons sugar, twice more than domestic consumption which is 200,000 tons.
What can be done with such a great sugar surplus if the EU won’t reinstate their sugar import fee exemption for Serbia?
