Serbian labor minister expects 600,000 new jobs this year
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Labor and Employment Dragan Milovanovic said he expects 600,000 new jobs to be offered this year through the Labor Market Institute, or 100,000 more than in 2002.
The Serbian government has also secured for 2003 a 7.5 billion dinar transition fund for workers who will be laid off. There will be work for those who want to work, Milovanovic said in an interview published Sunday by the Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti.
