Social dialogue with Serbian Government necessary, Smiljanic
NIS - Unless the Serbian Government reaches an agreement with the trade unions on starting a dialogue on social peace, the Independent Trade Union will organize protests owing to the increasingly difficult situation that workers are in in the privatization process and the work insecurity, President of the Serbian Confederation of Independent Trade Unions Milenko Smiljanic.
"The Independent Trade Union appeals to the Serbian Government to start a social dialogue on numerous problems during the privatization process and the general insecurity of workers," said Smiljanic in a live broadcast by the Nis TV Belami, underlining that the growing number of workers is losing their jobs and that no adequate social programs had been developed yet.
