Agreement signed on cooperation of central banks of Serbia, Montenegro
BELGRADE - National Bank of Serbia governor Mladjan Dinkic and president of the Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro Ljubisa Krgovic signed on Tuesday an agreement on cooperation of the two central banks in the field of bank control, which specifies the readiness of member states of the union to enable each other direct control of branche offices in their territory.
In other words, the Central Bank of Montenegro will enable the National Bank of Serbia to control branch offices of Serbian banks working in the territory of Montenegro with the work permit of the Central Bank of Montenegro, and in the same way the National Bank of Serbia commits itself to enable the same control to the Central Bank of Montenegro, Dinkic explained at a press conference.
