G17 Plus welcomes lifting of state of emergency
BELGRADE - G17 Plus welcomed the lifting of the state of emergency
in Serbia Tuesday but urged the continuation of the fight against
organized crime.
Measures taken under the state of emergency have helped stabilize
the situation following the assassination of Serbian Premier Zoran
Djindjic, G17 Plus said in a statement, expressing hope that a
fundamental and efficient reform of the police and the judiciary
would be carried out in a near future.
