Micic: State of emergency to be lifted by end of April
BELGRADE – Acting Serbian President Natasa Micic has said that she expects the state of emergency to be lifted by the end of the month.
Despite PM Zivkovic announcing on Wednesday that the state of emergency would be lifted by next week, Micic now insists that it will be the end of the month.
Speaking to agency Beta, Micic said: “I will request a report from the Serbian Government and the ministries in charge. Based on their assessments I will propose the ending of the state of emergency”.
The extraordinary state was introduced following last month’s assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic.
