Konstanca – Omisalj - Trieste pipeline
The pipeline Konstanca – Pancevo – Omisalj – Trieste could provide Serbia a transit income and also safer and chipper supply Serbian refineries with crude oil.
The pipeline trough Serbia could attain annual capacity from 36 to 40 million tons which is twice more compared with present Adriatic Pipeline. According to rough estimations the pipeline construction could cost Serbia €600 million.
This pipeline would be connected with Panalpina pipeline which lead to Western Europe. The pipeline could supply Serbia, Romania and Croatia with 16 million tons crude oil and Italy and Germany with 20 million tons crude oil.
It is impossible to calculate exact income from pipeline, but it could be great. Serbia would save the money which nowadays pays to Croatia for oil transportation by the Adriatic Pipeline ($7 per ton crude oil). On the other part, Serbia could earn on crude oil transportation, store housing, maintaining.
