International assistance for Broadcast Council
BELGRADE – The European Agency for Reconstruction and the OSCE are to pick up part of the tab for Serbia’s new broadcasting regulatory body, the
organizations announced today.
Under the agreement, the Serbian government will provide salaries for 24 employees of the Broadcast Agency and nine members of the Broadcast Council, as well as supplying premises.
Through the Agency for Reconstruction, the EU will provide 300,000 euros for operating expenses, consultancies and capital expenditure.
The OSCE will engage an international advisor for a period of fourteen months.
