NBS Governor opens Technobank 2003 Conference in Belgrade
BELGRADE - Governor of the Serbian National Bank (NBS) Mladjan Dinkic assessed on Wednesday that the choice of information technology and software will be of crucial importance for domestic banks to obtain a competition position in Serbia's financial market, which has good prospects of becoming a leader in south-eastern Europe.
At the opening of the Technobank 2003 Conference and exhibition, Dinkic said that the reform of the financial system (particularly the transfer of the payment system to banks) was the most successful one in south-eastern Europe, not only for its thorough preparations but also for the choice of the adequate information technology.
