WASHINGTON – Branko Lukovac, Serbia-Montenegro Minister for Foreign Economic Relations, has expressed the satisfaction of Serbia’s delegation following talks with representatives of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
Lukovac said: “The talks were intensive and committed to discussing prior arrangements and the ways of bringing them to fruition. These included the realization of a three-year-old arrangement with the World Bank and new, extended arrangements with the International Monetary Fund, as well as their agreement to be involved in the organization of the upcoming donor conference for the state union”.
According to Lukovac, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund made positive evaluations of Serbia-Montenegro’s development so far, the ongoing reforms, fight against organized crime and measures aimed at stabilizing the country.
