IFC supports construction of oil pipeline from Romania, across Serbia, to Croatia
BELGRADE - The International Financial Corporation (IFC), the investment branch of the World Bank (WB), has supported the Serbian Government initiative to set up a secretariat at the Ministry for energy and mining that would coordinate the work of the Governments of Romania, Croatia and Serbia on providing the necessary support for the construction of the Constanta-Pancevo-Omisalj oil pipeline, Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic has said at a press briefing in Washington.
The IFC is very much interested in providing the necessary support to the Serbian Government in restructuring the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) that would lead to finding a true strategic partner, as well as to setting up a centre for the realization of some big infrastructural projects in the region, said Djelic.
