G17 hoping for early elections
NOVI SAD – G17 Plus president Miroljub Labus said last night that the best thing for his party would be to see republican elections by the end of this year.
Explaining that the final decision to call elections rests with the current Serbian Government, Labus also expressed confidence that his party is ready for elections to be called earlier or, as scheduled, in 2004.
According to Hungarian language Vojvodina newspaper Magyar Szó, Labus said that his party had hoped to establish a 100 district branches by the end of March, but that they had only managed to form 98 so far “due to well-known occurrences”.
