EU negotiations to begin this year
PODGORICA – Negotiations on stabilization and association with the European Union could begin as early as the end of this year, federal Foreign Economic Relations Minister Branko Lukovac said today.
The main stumbling block is bringing the economic systems of Serbia and Montenegro into conformity which, said Lukovac, should happen in April or May.
Representatives of the two republic are to meet tomorrow to discuss federal representation in international financial institutions.
