Slobodan Milosavljevic estimates on Serbian trade
In his interview with daily newspaper Politika, Minister for Trade, Tourism and, Services Slobodan Milosavljevic stated that inflation during the first three months of this year was 1.8%, which was less than the planned inflation rate. The price of electric power will increase in the second half of the year. Some producers of fiscal recording cash registers will obtain government approval in April. Conditions for approval are that part of the production must be completed in Serbia, and the producer must give a bank guarantee worth E500,000 and secure devices for plastic money for all small and medium sized companies. According to estimates by Slobodan Milosavljevic 300,000 fiscal cash-boxes will be needed in Serbia. At this moment as much as 30% of cash money is being turned over in any one of a number of the sources of the gray economy in Serbia.
By the end of this year Rewe and Metro trade chains will come to Serbia. At stake are
separate projects attracting more than $100 million in investments. Serbian company Rodic will open the Balkans biggest hypermarket and shopping center. Two domestic retail chains Si Market and Gorica will join forces.
