National Bank of Serbia exists legally, does not print false money, Dinkic
BELGRADE - The work of the National Bank of Serbia is regulated by the Constitutional Charter and the Law on the Implementation of the Constitutional Charter of Serbia and Montenegro, said on Monday National Bank of Serbia governor Mladjan Dinkic and denied that the bank was "printing false money," underlining that the issuing of new bills is regulated by provision 27 of the Law on Implementation of the Constitutional Charter of Serbia and Montenegro.
Reacting to the statement made Monday by Serbian Premier Zoran Zivkovic that "the National Bank of Serbia does not exist and that everyone presenting himself on behalf of that nonexistent institution - is falsely presenting himself," Dinkic in a letter to Premier Zivkovic pointed out that article 13 of the Law on the Implementation of the Constitutional Charter stipulates that "on the day of the coming into force of the Constitutional Charter (February 4, 2003) - the National Bank of Yugoslavia becomes a body of the Republic of Serbia."
