Custom duties increase in Montenegro will not influence retail prices, economic expert
PODGORICA - Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce vice-president Miodrag Causevic assessed on Monday that the coordination of custom duties between Serbia and Montenegro, or the increase of Montenegrin and decrease of Serbian duties, will not automatically mean an increase of retail prices in Montenegro.
Montenegrin Premier Milo Djukanovic has announced that custom duties in force in the state union will be coordinated with European Union standards, which means that those in Montenegro will increase 6-7 pct, and in Serbia they will decrease by the same percentage.
