Montenegrin government says price increase affects citizens' living standards
PODGORICA - The Montenegrin government said on Thursday that the increase of the price of staples in this republic after the introduction of VAT affected citizens' living standards and represented a major abuse of the
liberalization of business climate.
"Price increase that is neither based on the logic of economy, nor is justified by costs, really represents a brutal attack at the Montenegrin government's reform programme and its efforts aimed at building market economy in Montenegro," it was said in a statement released after the government's session.
