Introduction of VAT in Montenegro will make harmonization more difficult, Serbian Minister
PODGORICA - Minister for foreign economic relations and head of the Serbian Government team for negotiations on economic harmonization of Serbia and Montenegro Goran Pitic assessed on Wednesday that the introduction of the value added tax (VAT) in Montenegro makes the negotiations on economic harmonization inside the state union more difficult.
In a statement published by the Podgorica daily Vijesti, Pitic said that it had been agreed between representatives of finance ministries of Serbia and Montenegro to meet soon, "since different solutions in duty and tax systems require serious discussions".
