Credits for building apartments for refugees
BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic said on Wednesday that the entry of Serbia and Montenegro into the Council of
Europe will enable access to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Djelic told reporters in the republican assembly that negotiations started a year ago with the Council of Europe for credits intended for building housing facilities for refugees, and added that the sum in question was 20-40 million euros. Once we enter the Council of Europe, it is matter of weeks, not months when the building of the facilities will start and when refugee camps will become an "ugly past," Djelic said.
