Agreement on privatization of Zastava postponed
BELGRADE - The US company Nucarco has requested the postponement of the signing of an agreement on the privatization of Zastava of Kragujevac, and YuCan of Canada has informed the Privatization Ministry in writing it is temporarily postponing its bid for this company, Serbian Privatization Minister Aleksandar Vlahovic said on Wednesday.
Nucarco has asked for a delay as currently it is negotiating with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) about the financial arrangement for Zastava, and the Ministry so no reason not to agree to this and extend the deadline, Vlahovic told the press.
