Serbia creates good investment climate, Pitic
WASHINGTON- Foreign investors understand that Serbia will not only contain on the same path traced by the late Premier Zoran Djindjic with his team, notably in the part of economic reforms, but that it has the strength to fight organized crime and corruption, which is the key for the creation of a good investment climate, Serbian Foreign Trade Minister Goran Pitic told the Voice of America.
Referring to the signing on Tuesday of the contract under which the US company US Steel bought Sartid of Smederevo, Pitic said that was an indication of the interest of investors and of their resolve to pursue their activities also in this period. He also voiced hope that the state of emergency "will soon be lifted" and that new new investments will follow, on a wider scale.
