Plums or chips - market will determine, Pitic
BELGRADE - The Serbian economy should export products that make money, and whether these will be dried plums, or chips, is up to businessmen, said on Tuesday Serbian Foreign Trade Minister Goran Pitic.
Speaking about activities to be conducted by the state in building a competitive environment, Pitic said at the national summit on competitiveness that the government will not be the chief strategist of competitiveness. "The role of the government is to talk about what the state should do in order to ensure an ambiance for doing business, but not to decide which product in competitive and what should be exported."
