Privatization results
During the first three months of this year total income produced from privatizations reached a total of almost €50 million, Minister for Economy and Privatization Aleksandar Vlahovic said.
According to the Privatization Agency, during this year 236 companies were privatized. Private entrepreneurs bought 172 companies, employees purchased 32 which were being privatized and, other firms bought 32 different Serbian firms through the privatization process.
Croatian food company Agrokor purchased Serbian food maker Frikom through private tender for €3.6 million, Sugar factory Crvenka went to Greek Hellenic Sugar for €10.326 million, Ruma located Rumaguma [a local rubber products producer] was purchase by an American firm Galaxy for €11.420 million.
The foreign investors have purchased 9 companies. Three of these investors were from Slovenia.
