Pension insurance owed by Serbian companies
On the end of 2002 Serbian companies owed 7.7 billion dinars (€121.3 million) to PIO Fund (the state owned fund for the obligatory pension insurance of employees) for unpaid contributions.
The pensions pay off delayed a month and a half last year. Average pension reached 72.9% of average net salary and 50.7% of average total salary. There were 1,225,814 PIO Fund pensioners (1.25% more than in 2001).
