Average salary covers cost of minimum consumer basket
BELGRADE - The purchase power of Serbian consumers increased in February and the average net salary of 10,367 dinars, covered the costs of the minimum consumer basket (10,531 dinars), Serbian Minister of Trade and Tourism Slobodan Milosavljevic said on Friday.
Speaking at a news conference at the Serbian government, he said that the price of the minimum consumer basket had increased by 0.8 percent in comparison with January or 1.4 percent in comparison with December. The average consumer basket cost 17,010 dinars and its price increased by 0.4 percent in comparison with January and by 0.7 percent in comparison with December.
